We use ShortStack to promote member engagement through our social media channels by creating giveaways and contests. ShortStack allows us to creatively and effectively create campaigns that are unique to us with their easy-to-use platform. They also offer guidance to help us stay within compliance with the ever-changing social media guidelines.

I love ShortStack's customer support. For the most part, they are available immediately through chat and respond to email inquiries within a very reasonable timeframe. As a longtime customer, they have accommodated my needs. Their platform is set up for all users - whether you are not very tech-savvy or an IT person, you can find ways to utilize your skills.

ShortStack makes it easy for us to run contests and build our social media presence and email list. It’s powerful but also easy to use. It offers us flexibility so that we can engage with our customers. Otherwise, it’s a complicated task to collect this information.

Collecting email addresses.

Cons

The builder takes some getting used to.
Can be complex to learn at first.

Likelihood to Recommend

It works great across a host of different industries. It works for nearly every scenario and is very adaptable. I don’t see any places where it is less appropriate. Any industry can use it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

ShortStack is currently being used by de Novo to help implement and manage Facebook contests and other social media contests. It allows us to randomly select "comment contest" winners in a way that is compliant with Facebook's terms and conditions. We've done a few custom HTML contest pages that properly match our client's brand standards.

Pros

Easily select Facebook Comment Content entries
Create custom contest landing pages with ease
Customer support team is very friendly and helps out

Cons

If you are not using the contest feature regularly it can get pricey

ShortStack is great for agency use and has been a great tool to use for our clients. I can't speak for a smaller individual companies, but it has also been recommended to several clients who administer their own contests regularly.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We started using Shortstack in 2014 as our content management solution didn't allow for the fast and flexible deploy of contest/sweepstakes type experiences and, even more importantly, the ability to track conversions and funnels. Shortstack immediately allowed us to capitalize on the growing audiences on social media platforms by allowing us to create experiences that were highly Facebook friendly.

Pros

Flexible templates that can be modified to meet internal branding guidelines or can be used as a starting point to create completely new experiences.
Ability to embed any analytics tags to track conversions or retargeting tags.
Built with the marketer in mind, not the developer.

Cons

No API integration for email collection in real-time to major ESPs such as Responsys.

Likelihood to Recommend

Shortstack is ideal for a marketing team that does have full-time developers available to support their efforts.
