SmarterSelect

SmarterSelect is cloud-based Scholarship Management and Grant Management Software for foundations, nonprofits, educational institutions, associations, and other organizations that run competitive application programs. It centralizes application creation, document collection, eligibility screening, committee review, award selection, and applicant communication.

Application Management

Administrators can create scholarship, grant, and award applications without programming. The program builder supports templates, multiple question types, file attachments, conditional questions, eligibility rules, calculations, and validation requirements.

Organizations running several programs can use a common application to collect shared applicant information once and reuse it across eligible programs. Prequalification questions can prevent ineligible applicants from starting or submitting an application. Applicants can upload transcripts, letters, photographs, and other supporting documents, while third parties can submit recommendations through a separate online workflow.

Applications are responsive across phones, tablets, and computers. Email and text notifications keep applicants informed about deadlines, status changes, missing information, and award decisions.

Evaluation and Selection

SmarterSelect provides a reviewer portal for assigning applications to individuals or evaluation groups. Organizations can configure custom scoring rubrics, multi-stage reviews, automatic score calculations, comments, and reviewer notes. Applicant identities or selected responses can be hidden to support anonymous evaluation.

Administrators can schedule applicant interviews, track invitations and responses, compare evaluation results, and identify candidates using configurable reporting criteria. Review data and application records can be exported to CSV or PDF for reporting, archiving, and audit support.

Award Administration

Program teams can create award funds, assign award amounts, notify recipients, generate award documents, and track acceptance. SmarterSelect manages the application and selection process; payment distribution to students and institutions is provided through the separately identified SendGrant product.

Integrations and Administration

SmarterSelect supports integrations with CRM and membership systems, along with single sign-on using existing organizational credentials. Application and evaluation data can also be connected to external business applications without requiring custom development.
