What is Sparkian?

Sparkian is a browser-based Conversational AI workspace that provides a single chat interface to more than 50 large language models (LLMs) from multiple providers, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Sparkian is the current name for the product formerly shipped as Geekflare Chat. The platform is designed to remove the requirement to hold separate provider subscriptions and accounts to reach different model capabilities.

Key Capabilities

  • Multi-model chat: A conversation can be routed to models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Meta, Alibaba (Qwen), Moonshot AI (Kimi), MiniMax, Perplexity, NVIDIA, and Z.ai. Messages, attached files, and prior context persist when the underlying model is switched mid-conversation.
  • Side-by-side model comparison: The Multi-Model feature dispatches one prompt to several models concurrently and returns the responses in parallel, allowing a user to compare output and then continue the conversation from a chosen model.
  • Knowledge base grounding: The Library Knowledge base stores uploaded documents, plain-text notes, and folders that can be attached to any chat as retrieval sources. Each source carries a Visibility setting — Private (individual only) or Workspace (all workspace members) — and retrieved passages are returned with citations attached to the answer.
  • Web search grounding: The platform retrieves external web pages when a query requires current information, and returns the answer with web and knowledge base citations distinguished (for example, K1 for knowledge base, W2 for web).
  • Canvas and artifacts: A side panel handles code and long-form content outside the normal chat flow. Saved output is stored as a versioned artifact in the Library, with version selection, revert, copy, and download.
  • Prompt reuse: The source describes a centralized Prompt Library for saving and sharing prompts across a workspace. See flag 2 in the Taxonomic Note — current vendor documentation does not describe this feature.
  • In-chat image generation: Image artifacts can be generated directly from the conversation that produced the prompt.
  • Context control: Chat settings expose a Smart mode (older messages summarized) and an Exact mode (recent messages sent verbatim), plus a Recent messages control (0–50, default 20). A notice banner appears once an active conversation reaches approximately 20,000 tokens.

Audience & Use Cases

  • Audience: Individual knowledge workers in research, writing, and analysis roles; marketing and content teams; product and engineering teams; and customer support teams operating under shared per-seat allocation.
  • Use Case: Comparing model output before committing to a draft; grounding answers in internal documents without re-attaching files per conversation; producing long-form documents and code in Canvas; generating images from within a conversation; and consolidating multiple provider subscriptions into a single metered credit pool.

Technical Specifications

  • Delivery model: Web application, browser-accessed; no local installation.
  • Model count: The vendor states 50+ models across multiple providers.
  • Metering: Consumption is metered in Sparks, a single monthly credit balance covering model calls, image generation, and workspace tools. Sparks refresh monthly.
  • Data handling: Data is encrypted in transit; access is scoped to authorized people and workspaces; conversations, files, and workspaces can be deleted by the user. The vendor states Sparkian is built by Geekflare, is GDPR compliant, and is completing a SOC 2 Type II audit.
  • Roadmap status: Per vendor documentation, chat and image generation are live; audio, video, and agent delegation are stated as forthcoming.
