We manage our club teams with SportsPlus

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have used the SportsPlus team app to manage three teams that I coached. This app kept all parents up to date on schedules. Parents updated the player availability for games ahead of the time, which helped me plan for the games. Most of the other coaches in the club also used SportsPlus to manage their teams.

Pros

  • This app made the volunteer task management very simple and easy.
  • Connected all team members with up-to-date automated notifications and reminders.

Cons

  • I had a couple of parents who had some initial problems with their accounts, which eventually got fixed.
  • Few times the mobile app notifications arrived later.
  • Sometimes it is confusing to switch between the mobile app and mobile browser view for certain confirmations.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you are looking for a team app for all organization teams SportsPlus works well. This is not for you if you are looking for just one team. Also this integrates well with registration and payment collection. This works best if you can use it to manage all areas of your club. The more you can use the better value you will get out of it.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SportsPlus is used to recruit players and then make teams and schedules. Sometimes we also run tournaments using the SportsPlus tournament bracket generator. This system has a team app included for all teams. I think most of the teams use the team app as well. The good thing is it's all automatic for the players and families. Once registered, their account is created and then they can access teams and schedules with the mobile app.

Pros

  • Registration and payment processing is good.
  • Mobile app is included for all players at no extra cost.

Cons

  • Sometimes it takes few rounds to get the registration going.
  • Some families were overwhelmed with all the features available.

Likelihood to Recommend

It takes care of most that we do. You don't have to use multiple applications. All are included at no extra cost. Some areas are still evolving. For example, the tournament bracket generator initially worked for an even number of teams up to 16. They said they are working on it and more will be available. Some times it took a few days to resolve some non-urgent issues.
