What is FundRaiser (discontinued)?

FundRaiser aims to connect institutions who are fundraising to their donors, without interference. It is a dedicated platform for educational institutions and charities. Using FundRaiser, institutions set up their own payment gateway and collect the donations directly into their bank accounts. In addition, FundRaiser includes features for building beautiful fundraising campaign pages, as well as integrated bulk email marketing tools, bulk SMS marketing tools & social media management tools. FundRaiser charges a nominal fixed monthly subscription and takes no commission from the amount of fund raised, which the vendor says is a differentiator.

Pros

FundRaiser keeps a database for us of our individual, business, and organizational donors for future reference.
FundRaiser keeps a database for us of our donors' contributions each year on an ongoing basis.
FundRaiser has multiple reports that can be run to fit your specific needs; be it yearly contributions, donor addresses, etc.

Cons

If you enter a duplicate donor in error, the program will allow you to make one inactive, but will not allow you to delete one. This often causes confusion when going to post-donation payments.
The system is also very basic and could be more user-friendly.

Return on Investment

FundRaiser saves us time that we would be spending trying to keep track of donations and donor information on spreadsheets, which saves us money.
