What is StreamShark Live Streaming Platform?
StreamShark is an enterprise video platform for live streaming and video on demand. AV operators, broadcast engineers, and communications teams use it to run high-stakes live events such as town halls, product launches, investor broadcasts, and external productions, and to manage the recordings afterward.
Streams are delivered over patented Multi-CDN aggregation that routes across multiple content delivery networks simultaneously, backed by dual DNS, primary and backup ingest with automatic failover, and real-time stream health monitoring that keeps the operator in control of the broadcast.
Security is fully audited. StreamShark is ISO 27001 certified and supports SAML 2.0 SSO with major identity providers, Hollywood-grade DRM, AES encryption in transit and at rest, and watermarking with viewer credentials for confidential streams.
Every live broadcast can be recorded to the video library automatically, and the platform includes a full CMS for organizing, securing, and publishing on-demand video at scale. The same SSO, DRM, and access controls that protect a live stream apply to the on-demand library.
Additional capabilities include:
- Shark AI: Scribe - Processes every video in the library: AI captions translated into 30+ languages, chapter markers at topic shifts, plus titles, descriptions, and tags written automatically.
- Live Captions, Translations, and Voice Dubbing - Automatically generated captions and translated captions for live streams, plus live audio translated into a natural-sounding voice in another language.
- Encoder Management - Remotely configure and control hardware encoders such as Epiphan and AWS Elemental from within the platform.
- Multistreaming - Simultaneously rebroadcast to destinations like YouTube and Twitch, or custom servers that accept RTMP input.
- VOD2Live (Live Scheduler) - Simulate live streams with pre-recorded content and schedule them to go live automatically.
- Brandable Channels - Organize live and on-demand content into uniquely styled channels that match company or event branding.
- Instant Stream Archiving - Generate a top-and-tailed video archive of a live stream within seconds of completion.
- Live Highlight Clips - Create clips of key sections of a live stream while it is still live and share or embed them independently.
- Live DVR Rewind - Viewers joining late can rewind to catch up on content they missed.
- Full Privacy Controls - Protect streams with passwords, embed restrictions, geographic and IP rules, and viewer management.
- P2P Assisted Streaming (eCDN) - Reduce bandwidth load on corporate networks by sharing stream content between viewers on the internal network.
- Real-Time Stats and CMCD Analytics - Real-time engagement insights plus Common Media Client Data for deeper delivery and playback-quality analytics.
- Embeddable Chat and Live Reactions - Chat embedded in the video player or separately, with emoji reactions for real-time engagement.
- Live Polling and Live CTA - Interactive polls and customizable banners that direct viewers to a chosen web page during a stream.
Plans start at $199 month-to-month, with Team and Business tiers adding capacity and advanced features, and custom-priced Enterprise deployments that include SSO, DRM, AI features, and 4K+ live streaming. Every plan includes the full live streaming and video on demand platform, and a free trial is available.
