Love me some TextExpander

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am on the sales team, so I use TextExpander to add in templates for emails, quickly add links, and ensure I've spelled things correctly. Having to constantly check for the right link to this walkthrough, that account set up page, this trial, that meeting link, super tedious. With TextExpander I can just drop them in where I need them and always know they're right.

Pros

  • keeps the integrity of a link I need to use safe
  • allows me to use consistent language
  • reduces my risk of typos in commonly sent language or links
  • saves my meeting links for me all in one place

Cons

  • would love to see it look a little more modern
  • team edit abilities are a bit tricky
  • would like the rich text space to look better

Likelihood to Recommend

For users who live in a specific app that already allows for templates, TextExpander might not be the best fit. Even then though, you are generally limited to one template per message. TextExpander is great because it carries across all platforms I use. I can use it to drop into emails, browsers, slack convos, etc seamlessly. Really anyone who is consistently using the same language, links, or info would be in the ICP for TextExpander.

TextExpander to save time on unnecessary writing

Rating: 10 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

TextExpander helps a lot to address customers in a quicker way, keeping notes it's also made os much easier to document cases and different findings, so it makes good practices easy by reducing the amount of time you'd need to spend in leaving appropriate documentation, it also helpos with grammar so it's useful in any writting scenario and need

Pros

  • Autocompletion of common words
  • Easy to create new snippets
  • Quickly input big regular chunks of text

Cons

  • I'd like for the formatting options to be easier, they're buggy some times
  • I'd like to be able to mass format my snippets, like adding a sign as a delimiter for all snippets in a list

Likelihood to Recommend

It's great for adding a commonly used big chunk of text so that it saves you time as you don't need to write it all over and over again, for example an opening sentence or a finishing note.

It's not great to use on more custom texts, as you'll need to tweak your text, and it could lead to mistakes
