so long as you patch vmware timely backups and snapshot protection is amazing and easy to use and saves admin time and money to get some advanced option which we would like the license model is way... … cheap option for clients who have cost issues for some implementations.

No we have not purchased premium support from VMware as our environment does not require 24 by 7 support, we require support during our working time which was covered in normal support and budget was... … It depends on the overall cost of ownership as we have to compare cost to competitors' prices with respect to features set offered.
