Whatagraph is perfect for us.
Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Whatagraph to report on digital marketing metrics for our clients across GA4, Meta, Google Ads, CallRail, HubSpot, and beyond. We use it internally to monitor overall client budgets and analyze trends and performance over time. We can build custom reports or further delve into specific aspects of our ad accounts. Some members of my team have also started exporting data into BigQuery, and we've connected the Whatagraph app to ChatGPT for faster analysis and reporting.
Pros
- Allows us to customize data/reports to better explain to clients what's happening in their accounts. Its not a key event, its a conversion type.
- The graphs and charts always help show specific data, like demography or spend.
- A coworker said it works like Google's preferred UA, making it much easier to build tables, charts, etc.
- Joins/Blends have become SO much easier and let me combine data in the ways I need.
Cons
- Some of the customization for charts could be improved, especially for pivot tables.
- Some of the offline data charts could also be improved, same reasoning.
- Some of the design/display/widgets aren't as intuitive for reading a report as I would like.
- Additional data points from other platforms/improving/broadening the available information/API pulls.
Return on Investment
- I save so much time on monthly reporting using Whatagraph + ChatGPT. Like 30 hours a month, at least.
- Sometimes adjusting filters on already-built reports takes time because EACH filter must be adjusted per widget, rather than changing one shared filter.
