Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) in our enterprise environment to monitor and quickly troubleshoot critical applications in our environment. There are so many possible factors when it comes to troubleshooting connection issues when connecting to SaaS applications over the internet, so having the incredible visibility that Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) offers immediately helps us rule out Zscaler, Internet Service Providers, and even our own network when users start having issues like latency or even specific errors.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

With the new Zscaler deployment, we are able to get better insight for what people's connections are looking like especially for remote users. We're now able to identify how a particular user's connection is and sometimes identify problems with ISPs or see trends in specific applications. Currently all Zscaler users have ZDX rolled out to them.

Cons

  • Short log retention
  • When devices don't have internet access, it doesn't work
  • AI problem analyzer is often incorrect or provides vague description
  • Only works for predefined applications (if you've never had problems and aren't monitoring with one of your 30 apps, post mortem is of little help)
