Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to view, edit, and organize PDF documents, along with photo files (JPEGs, PNGs, etc). It brings everything I want to do with PDF's intro one application—from exporting individual frames to file conversion. I most frequently use it to put together guides and other downloadable content.
- Simple user interface
- Easy workflow tabs
- Processes files quickly
- Limited options for file naming (jpeg exporting)
- Signature feature is confusing at times
- Occasionally buggy
- Easily combine PDF files into one
- Sign documents
- Export PDF frames to JPEGs
- Time saved on putting together PDFs
- Time saved signing documents
- Making money off downloadable PDF guides
The Apple Preview app is simplistic and convenient for viewing PDFs, but it lacks the advanced features of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, such as document signing, customizable exporting of individual frames, and document protection. I also chose Acrobat because it comes with my Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, making it a no-brainer.
