Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Commerce
We have previously worked with Adobe Commerce (Magento) to sustain and audit websites of clients. For most, it is the primary ecommerce selling platform they use and they often wish to migrate to competitor in the market, Shopify. Adobe Commerce allows our merchants to retail products with comprehensive rules, logics and operational flows.
Pros
- Server flexibility and reliability
- No down time
- Advanced functionalities
Cons
- Hard to maintain
- Ease for technical debt to accumulate over time
- Not super customisable or built for merchant ease
- Mostly, features are slow to launch so it is hard to keep pace with others in the marketplace loosing merchants revenue
- The system is comprehensive and has little down time or errors which ensures merchants can keep transacting reliably
- It can handle large volumes of traffic well
- Shopify
- Shopify Plus
- Shopify Flow
- WooCommerce
WooCommerce is unreliable and often has a lot of downtime and issues. Shopify is a lot more reliable, scalable and offers a lot of features out of the box or with easy and well-vetting apps and plugins. I would suggest that unless there is a very clear limitation of Shopify or Shopify Plus, perhaps around markets, B2B or the product structure, that most merchants are better to use this over Adobe Commerce.
