Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Firefly

We use Adobe Firefly to generate ideas, supplement graphic needs, and explore creative styles. When we are stuck on a direction to go or want to take our creative to the next level, Adobe Firefly is an easy and innovative tool we use. We appreciate the integration with other Adobe products and are glad it's part of our Adobe suite.

Pros

  • Adobe Firefly is particularly good at generating ai images within desired styles and layouts.
  • It is great at text to image.
  • It's also great at being responsible and accountable for all AI generations.

Cons

  • Generate video is not here yet but it's on the way soon.
  • I wish on the text to image home page it opened up as a custom setup instead of just an open prompt area.
  • Hand generation has gotten WAY better but is still somewhat lacking. You still get some funky generations.
  • Adobe Firefly has saved us hundreds of dollars per year by replacing stock photo websites.
  • Adobe Firefly has sped up our concepting and brainstorming time, saving us dozens of hours a month.
  • Adobe Firefly has helped us generate or inspire ideas we never even thought of.
It's a simple user experience and is easy to figure out. However, it can be slightly confusing when you first enter a prompt and then get all the advanced settings on the next screen. Upscaling and downloading images are extremely easy. The UI of this platform is much more consumer friendly than other code based AI image generations like Midjourney.
Other AI image generation platforms that I've used like Adobe Firefly are Midjourney and Stablediffusionweb.com. Midjourney is still the leader in generating controllable, photoreal AI images. AI images are virtually undetectable when generated from Midjourney. The control in this platform is better than Adobe Firefly, but Adobe Firefly has a better UI and is easier to use. Stablediffusionwebis a great free option, but Adobe Firefly is a lot better than Stablediffusionweb.

Adobe Firefly is well suited for non-primary marketing material and graphics that are not significantly prominent. This is simply due to the issue that people still distrust ai generated images to represent specific companies. This tool is fantastic for concepting, ideation, or creators. All marketers need to be familiar with Adobe Firefly and able to use it - but it is best used for creators and not businesses.
