Overall Satisfaction with Altium Designer
We use Altium Designer as our core Electrical solution. Between design, management and storage of our design files Altium Designer is key. We use Altium Designer for mid scale PCBA and harness design for our multi-board projects.

- Harness design is just starting and needs better cohesion with rest of the product
- New constrain manager has some bugs that slow down workflow
- Even better and more import of footprints, models and simulations

Being able to go right from idea to schematic to PCBA is highly efficient and easy to do. The back and forth between PCB and schematic further results in many design improvements with high efficiency.
Altium 365 has recently become a welcome upgrade. Being able to share designs to other departments has improved product knowledge and made manufacture more possible.
Altium Designer is the industry standard for a reason. While KiCad can be used for complex and capable designs the software will fight you along the way. Further, the constantly breaking backward compatibility makes KiCad hard to maintain current versions and up to date with.
