Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
Anaplan is used by the consolidations and FP&A teams. We pull in all our data into Anaplan during month end close and use it to consolidate global entities by translating currencies to our reporting currency. We then import the actuals into the FP&A model and they use it for forecasting. The business problems it has addressed is that it has made our consolidation process much quicker, shows us reports in real time and the import into FP&A is quick.
- Reporting in real time - makes it easy for our users to view reports without having to refresh.
- Can view reports in multiple currencies - users can view in local currency or reporting currency and compare.
- Import processes are relatively quick and do not hold up other users.
- Since we are close to our total model workspace, we have a lot of space constraints. We aren't able to add new reporting features without clogging up the system.
- The Excel add-in has a lot of room for improvement - adding a timestamp would be helpful, having the ability to keep all formatting when making changes to lists.
- Having the ability for users to save views, and the ability to add formulas (ad-hoc).
Overall better, quicker process. Lack of space in Anaplan is a pain point as compared to Host where we have been able to keep prior years worth of data with no problem.
