Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan
Anaplan is mainly used as a single platform by our finance, business intelligence, and sales management teams. Anaplan allows for updates to flow through interactive models in a way software like Excel cannot. Individual drivers like headcount, FX rates, cost key, sales forecasts, etc., though seemingly unimportant across some departments, suddenly reveal their relevance in real time. This dissolves barriers, creates a more collaborative environment, and allows for common drive toward end goals.
- I can't imagine a more fluid, comprehensive platform than what Anaplan has created in regard to model interaction.
- Anaplan is compatible with other software in terms of importing and exporting data.
- The service, support, and training Anaplan provides to its clients is tremendous.
- The only thing I'm annoyed with is creating a different view within dashboards and modules. This is mainly in regard to selecting columns and having to scroll through to select them one by one. I believe they are rolling out a fix for this sometime this year if I remember what was said at Hub 17.
This may be why I am biased toward Anaplan; I have never used another software specifically for financial modeling and can't imagine what it was like prior to my company switching from Excel. I have heard horror stories though.
