Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

Currently, finance manages and uses this tool exclusively. We have expanded use to the field for budget, pricing, and labor tools. Anaplan lets us see budgets at a center/rollup level without having to manually consolidate data in Excel.
  • Consolidation - instant and updated hierarchy views.
  • Logic - easy to change logic and add in future forecasting capabilities.
  • Link check - doesn't delete modules that are connected to other line items (MS Access will delete queries).
  • Formula Validation - during implementation errors in formulas cause all users to have downtime, sometimes over 10 minutes.
  • Reporting - No brainer here, the dashboards are not very end user friendly.
  • Ability to change colors/bold for lists&modules to easily see what are key components and what are linked together. Sort of like Excel tab colors.
We had Adaptive before Anaplan and did not like the service at all. Host Analytics was more of a lift and shift from Excel which we didn't want. The look and feel was also too familiar with Adaptive.
Weekly allocations process: we had a macro run behind an Excel template for every center we have (1300+). Anaplan eliminated this process and now we can have weekly allocations sent directly to our BI team.
