Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

We consult our clients about Anaplan and implement solutions tailor specific to their business needs. The solutions range from a spectrum of industries from Sales Performance Management, Workforce Management, Compensation Management and Supply Chain Management.

Pros

  • Flexibility to use
  • Easy to understand UI
  • Comparatively easy to implement against most other on-premise EPM solutions as it doesn't require complex calculation scripts and formulae structures

Cons

  • Application lifecycle management in the NUX requires tedious maintenance
  • Formatting options available in the NUX are minimum and could be increased
  • Incorporating AI add-ins

The rating is given since when it comes to usability anaplan is pretty user friendly. The user could be either an end-user using the tool or the model builder who builds the business process. With ever evolving platform updates, the usability just keeps increasing and becoming efficient. The community feedback is strong in terms of sharing the feedback as well.
As someone working in the consulting domain for over 8 years, Anaplan is way faster when it comes to compilation and hierarchy manipulation for instance. These activities, used to take lot of effort around 4-5 days and expertise in writing complex calculation scripts using Hyperion.
