Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organization uses Anaplan for a variety of Sales Operations functions. From Territory Management and Quota Planning, to Sales and Finance Forecasting, to Account Management and Assignment, to Headcount and Resource Planning. Our application of Anaplan spans multiple markets with a user base through all levels of management. We have a hybrid centralized/federated model of governance that allows for centrality of data security while allowing teams to build to the needs of their customers.

Anaplan works well as a cloud platform where multiple data sources need to be integrated, calculated upon, and results viewed in near-real time across a very wide user base. The agility of the platform with respect to building models suits it well to use-cases where a minimum viable product can be delivered and then iterated upon.

Anaplan may not the most appropriate tool for robust data visualization, but can still serve as the data source behind the calculations to be delivered to another BI tool.
