Overall Satisfaction with Anaplan

Currently implementing Crew Forecasting

Pros

  • Very flexible to meet various customer requirements
  • Easy to implement changes
  • Excelling UX platform

Cons

  • Improvements on recently introduced ADO
  • Filters or searches on some of the dropdowns do not exist
  • Unable to create dynamic custom time intervals, has to maintain manually.
  • Depending on the overall cost it is a good investment compare to competitors
  • Required less amount of time to implement
  • Easy to learn and build a COE
In my experience, compared to SAP it is well ahead of it but SAP is catching up and, in my opinion, Anaplan recently is not focusing on core changes but doing changes on UX and ADO etc.
I think Anaplan is a better and more mature product than SAP SAC, but SAC has a better integration with its core modules and BW platforms.

It is well suited to FP&A solutions with limited dimensions.
Not so well suited to implementations that require multiple dimensions with big members like Product , Customer etc.
