Overall Satisfaction with ApptioOne

Are company uses ApptioOne for IT budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and understanding our IT costs and cost drivers better. ApptioOne helps us manage and plan our IT cost better, make better IT investment decisions, and track our IT financial performance better with more accountability across the entire enterprise IT organization.

We use datalink integration connectors to upload IT application, project, time tracking, and CMDB information from ServiceNow. We also use datalink integration connectors to upload monthly financial data from our ERP systems including GL financial, invoice information, and purchase request information. We have started using the Apptio BI analytics tools for self service reporting, but are waiting for the latest release features with better functionality.

They have been very helpful with our initial Apptio implementation of IT Planning, IT Financial Management, Cost Transparency, and Vendor Insights. The team was very knowledgeable about TBM best practices and getting us up an running on Apptio in a very short timeframe. Since implementation, they have also been very good at assisting us with changes in our requirements as our IT business has changed.
  • Cloudability
It has been very helpful using the complete ApptioOne suite solution as one integrated solution, as the user interface is all the same which helps in training new users quickly. In addition the integrated suite makes sure that all the IT data is consistent without having to do multiple one-off data integrations for disparate solutions.

ApptioOne is good for large iT organizations that are very complex in nature. It is less useful for smaller IT organizations that have a much simpler structure. ApptioOne is good for IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning at a very detailed level with multiple IT owners, stakeholders, and cost center managers. It is also good with out of the box financial performance reporting that can be implemented quickly.
