Overall Satisfaction with Arena

Arena is used across the entire organization, internationally. It addresses documentation problems. We now have a standard process to review and approve drawings, documents, procedures, etc.

Many people at the company have used Arena before, and they recommended it.
It took three months to deploy. It was not very easy to deploy because I was trying to learn how to use Arena as I was deploying it, but we made it work. Arena was a learning process, and it was implemented on time. I was satisfied with my implementation team.
I haven't used any products like Arena.
  • Well suited: Engineering and manufacturing companies were drawings, and documents need to be controlled.
  • Less appropriate: Companies that do not need to have strict documentation.

Using Arena

It does, but we don't use Arena for that functionality unfortunately. Our company is not large enough yet to have to support those regulatory efforts. I heard that Arena offers good support that functionality, however. I would be open to trying it.
Arena allows cross-collaboration across our global teams. With many of us now working from home, Arena allows everyone to collaborate on the engineering change management process that we built, including the creation of new part numbers, BOMs, etc. Similar to most browser-based software, Arena makes working from home slightly easier.
We have expanded Arena usage in so many ways since we initially implemented it. Our first implementation of Arena was with the engineering change management process to document and control our product. Since that process has been so successful, many other departments in the company saw the value of having this controlled process. So we created additional formal processes in Arena, including with the Manufacturing team, Business Development, etc.
Arena provides a formal platform to document, review, and control changes to your business' products or processes. Highly recommend.
Mixed experiences with Arena's customer success team. I only worked with them in the beginning during initial implementation to help my company get started with Arena. It was a long process that probably took longer than needed.
