Overall Satisfaction with Atlassian Loom

We use Atlassian Loom in order to record problems or issues we notice on our company website and/or app. It saves us time and helps us avoid unnecessary huddles or calls that could take longer than necessary. We also use it sometimes to discuss feedback on projects, tasks, or any other work responsibilities that require a more detailed discussion or explanation.

Pros

  • Record videos and screens to discuss issues or feedback
  • Provide 1.2x speed automatically to quicken the pace of the video
  • Edit recorded videos as needed

Cons

  • The background noise is always picked up even when wearing headphones
  • There's some delay whenever the recording button is clicked
  • A maximum of 5 minutes for free users feels a bit too limiting
  • Saved at least 1-2 hours of work hours after recording a video
  • At least 15 mins were saved since issues were discussed more thoroughly through Atlassian Loom videos
  • Wasted about 10 minutes due to the background noises that Atlassian Loom picked up
Overall, it is very easy to use Atlassian Loom. There's not a lot of things you need to learn before you can use it. Additionally, when you need to edit the video, it's quite easy since there are time stamps that show which parts had silences that can be removed.

When I had to record some issues or explain an issue with a project, Atlassian Loom allowed me to do it without having to jump on a call with the other person. It's especially helpful since we're in different time zones and they could just review the video whenever they're available.
