Overall Satisfaction with The Okta Identity Cloud

Auth0 was used in our online product to provide user authentication service to public users.
  • Overall we had very good experience with Auth0. It supports industry standard language or technology for integration. Very good performance.
  • It's nice to work with Auth0's APIs and they are flexible.
  • The management and configuration dashboard is useful and easy to deal with.
  • It didn't happen frequently but there were service outages in the past several years.
  • The customer support options and quality need to be improved.
  • Yes, Auth0 is very easy to onboard so we have saved development time and improved end-user experience and login times.
Compare to AWS cognito, Auth0 is easy to setup. The API is nice to work with and flexible. And the backend administration dashboard is very robust and easy to use. Also, the pricing is reasonable based on the subscription version and online usage. The services are well documented and everything just works as expected.
Auth0 is mainly a solution for authentication and authorization. And it does what it promises in that aspect, but I also find it very helpful when it comes to customer support because I can see a lot of crucial information about user activity. So we have allowed our customer services team members to access auth0 backend log files for troubleshooting user login issues, etc. And the backend administration site is fairly easy to understand. Metadata along with Rules and Hooks allow for flexibility for token generation . Multiple ways to authenticate.

Configuring The Okta Identity Cloud

Depends on how and what you are going to use and integrate with Auth0, there is a feature rich backend management and configuration console provided by Auth0 for you to set everything up. You can configure clients, rules, APIs, connections, customized domain names, SSO integrations, users, MFAs, extensions, emails and log, etc. Auth0 has improved and added anomaly detections features in this configuration console as well. It's very flexible and user friendly to setup and configure features and functionalities.
