Overall Satisfaction with BeyondTrust Endpoint Privilege Management

It allows us to not make users local administrators on their machines while not impacting their ability to install legitimate business use software.

Pros

  • Elevates installs when allowed
  • Allows administrators to elevate non policy items
  • Allows us to not make end users local administrators on their machines

Cons

  • Maybe some minor UI changes
  • Adds another layer to our security model
  • Makes cyber insurance happy
The UI is easily navigated. Updating the policies and looking through logs is very simplistic.
We felt that BT PM was easier to use and a better fit for us than CyberArk was. It was a bit confusing and the UI wasn't as friendly.

If you need something to manage users/installs because of not allowing them to be local administrators, this is the way to go. It's easy to update your policies and push them out and gives you control over what can be installed.

The in person training was great. Very informative and the trainer was great. I would highly recommend this option if you're hesitant. Any questions can then be directed to support. Support is great as well, and will definitely help answer any questions. I would definitely
recommend adding some type of training as it was very helpful for our
