Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use CCH® SureTax® to import transactions and then we use the return site as well to process our returns. They also calculate the tax on our online orders. I'm the main one that uses the CCH® SureTax® platform to make sure that all of our transactions are accounted for.

Pros and Cons

The site is user friendly
The site is easy to navigate

In my experience, if there is an issue with your account your account rep isn't very responsive
In my experience, if there is an issue with an import there isn't much help
Not all transactions import like they should and causes issues on the returns side of things

Return on Investment

Some months it saves us time but we have to be very through with reviewing the returns because, in our experience, they aren't always correct
The main time saver was having them register for the tax accounts on our behalf.

In my experience, when there are issues our account rep isn't very responsive. In my opinion, the set up process was a huge pain and not everything was done properly and we had to handle some of it on our own. In my opinion, there is no responsibility when the team makes an issue and them resolving, we have to do everything. They turned on a state we had turned off and tax was being collected. I asked why, got no response other than I needed to handle it on my side and get with the state and try and figure out how to file the taxes on my own.
