ChromeOS Flex

Overall Satisfaction with ChromeOS

ChromeOS is used as the main operating system. It has better security than other platforms. We work remotely so it is helpful to be able to interact with team mates and work directly with them. There are so many apps that we can use that allow us to work side-by-side and provide most up-to-date information. We use it to track calls as well as update customer accounts in real time.

  • non-google related programs are not as accessed well

  • We do not have to purchase separate security suite
  • Reduced cost of operation due to less problems with OS
It works wonderfully, but the limits are specialized software usage such as Nuance PDF doesn't work well for us with ChromeOS, which is why it is not a 10. The software that does work is very intuitive to use and has familiar functionality. ChromeOS is very fast on start up and runs without having to restart due to RAM. The other biggest limitation is if you are not online, you cannot do anything on the system.
ChromeOS is just as good as Windows. I feel it can be better sometimes because it starts up faster and more efficiently. I like how all the programs have similar interfaces and are easy to learn. There are less issues with ChromeOS than there are with Windows. And security is much tighter.

ChromeOS is really good for working remotely. It allows for real time updates and also allows us to track production amongst our employees. The security is really good and we feel protected from viruses. The platform is cheaper than traditional systems and works just as good as they do. We find that ChromeOS is suitable for a small business like ours.
