Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)

Network as a service, building network services that our customers can order via a webportal and deployed onto Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) and other devices via NSO

Pros

  • API
  • Policy Driven
  • single controller

Cons

  • reduced cost
  • more insight into the fabric health
  • remove the need for Nexus dashboard for multi-site connectvity
  • automation
  • able to deploy complex network constructs to the fabric very quickly
  • single Managment for config and gtroubleshooting
picked Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) and APIC as the fabric controller as a more integrated platform
we can deploy services in minutes rather than days
100% helped with the Central controller and api

Are you happy with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI)'s feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (Cisco ACI) again?

Yes

provides an API and a single controller for configuring the fabric, but is not cost effective when we are looking at very small sites when including the APIC, leaf and spines to provide a bare minimum platform for a standard platform offering. Platform is easy to automate and the policy based structure is good, but a larger learning curve. ways to improve and help with this learning curve would be good
