Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

  • Catalyst 3850 Series
Used as access switches configured in stacks with redundant up-links to the core, in many wiring closets.
  • Providing user access to corporate network.
  • Support advanced features including QoS.
  • Performing at high efficiency level.
  • PoE availability between various models.
  • 3850 Switches are not the most price effective platform but they do the job very well.
To limited degree. We are still in the process of looking on implementing advanced features.
We have not implemented advanced manageability yet. Still outstanding.
I believe they are one of best in the class.
The switches have versatile use scenarios. Besides working in the assessment layer, based on performance and feature set, they can be used as core switches on smaller sites.
