The Cisco Catalyst 8000 Edge Platforms perform well in an airconed room where the temperature is well controlled, but in an industrial environment where the temperature can shoot up to 50 degrees, it would not withstand the harsh conditions. It does not support PoE switch module, where a PoE VoIP phone is required.
