Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 8000 Edge Platforms

We have currently done major upgrade from 4000 series to 8000. Reason to follow our Cisco curriculum which also uses dnac

Pros

  • In our situation provides students with up-to-date "real life" experiences
  • Gets students used to having a main control interface

Cons

  • I'm just getting used to the 8000 series as we have only had it for a term.
  • Catalyst data centre
  • Updating aging infrastructure
  • Able to use updated equipment
  • Use of catalyst centre
In my case I haven't evaluated any similar products as this is our sole Routing solution
