Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst 8000 Edge Platforms
We utilize the routers for SDWAN for branch and data center and autonomous mode for internet edge.
Problems we’ve faced have been with code and hardware bugs of drops with the qfp in the 8500s.
Additional bugs we’ve run into were memory errors on the 8200 platform.
Licensing issues due to HSEC requirements.
Overall product has been mostly stable.

Pros
- SDWAN
- Throughput
- Rack size
Cons
- Scalability
- Quality control of product (physical components)
- Keep up with clear difference of SDWAN vs Autonomous mode capabilities
- 8200 are sometimes a hard price point for our customer to swallow as our "low end" offering.
- 8500s are also at times a difficult price point.
- 8300s seem to be a decent offering in a middle tier offering.
