Our organization personally hasn’t benefited from them however our customers love the new automation features and functions that are included in the new catalyst suite.
The added features in the new catalyst suite is amazing. With scripting engines being added to products automation has been explosive. Never before could we automate regular mundane tasks and now have engineering staff focus on actual issues instead of resetting ports and copying configuration. Even the user access experience has benefited.
You can’t beat Cisco comparatively in features vs. dollar for dollar value.
They are great for access later connectivity. For high density connections within distribution closests and access rooms there isn’t a better product on the market. However when you start looking at them for core data center functions they start to be come lack luster. They also work great in top of rack switch environments.
