Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My experience with cisco catalyst switches has been a positive one. These switches once configured require little to no maintenance. We have had switches running without loss of service for several years. Only consideration is IOS upgrades which Cisco is proficient in providing information on current vulnerabilities. The IOS is user friendly and access to how to's is easy to find. I would recommend Cisco to others considering this product.

Cisco switches are durable and rarely fail
Up time is always maintained.

Improve method of uploading IOS
more redundant modules

they maintain overall performance
TAC is extremely helpful
customer service is proficient in replacing damaged product

Cisco switches are well suited for edge clients. Connectivity to distribution or collapsed core is easy. I have no scenarios where Cisco would be not suited for.
