Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches

To say change management security.
  • It does change management. So you can, from a centralized location, you can make changes to multiple devices.
  • I think the licensing model
  • I think the cost associated
  • The hardware associated, if we could just pick any server, if we, we take a control plane, data plane I don't wanna necessarily be stuck with a particular. I wanna be software focused, not focus on the hardware so much.
  • It just saves time.
  • Webex Meetings
  • Cisco DNA Center
  • Cisco Catalyst Switches
It's licensing. Setting up a separate DNA center instance is kind of cumbersome. It's a learning curve for some people. Maintaining the training curriculum pipeline, to do all this stuff for a group of people and turnover. That's the hardest part. And then the licensing costs.
It helps us a lot with change management making sure we are well in terms of visibility. We make sure we understand. so if there are any STIGs or any vulnerabilities that are on the switches or on the network devices, we can see that we have visibility into that. We can make automated automating any kind of multi-device changes rather than a single bag going in there and doing consulting and have an automated way of doing that. It saves a lot of time and effort.
We have ex what have we experienced in using, so I guess hybrid work model meaning like when we worked hybrid back teleworking. I'll interpret that as teleworking where we have multi-site access to any of our products and any of our services that we do. So we can log in from home, we can authenticate from home, and do the same things that we do at work. And we did that during covid that was, so it's helped out.

Do you think Cisco Catalyst Switches delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst Switches's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst Switches live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst Switches go as expected?

No

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst Switches again?

Yes

Well, if you have a policy, a work or governance policy that requires the same policy to be applied to multiple different devices or if you have places where you have maybe one or two really experienced people that are able to do all those changes. That's good.
