Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches
Provide end device access at the Access layer with PoE and security controls.
Provide routing and high availability at the distribution layer.
Provide high speed traffic switching at the core layer.
Pros

- Different options for different use cases
- High mtbf
Cons
- Higher PoE (90W) without mGig
- More detailed stacking guides
- Positive: reliable availability over time
- Negative: additional investment to power UPOE+
Cisco Catalyst switches are a better and more consistent product. Published design guides, multivendor SFP support and configuration consistency with other Cisco products in fleet make them better for the org.
