Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Catalyst Switches
In my organization, we have Catalyst C9200 model switches for access layer. It provides the feature to Stacking the multiple C9200 model switches. With the help of Physical Stacking, we do not have to configure and manage multiple switches instead of this we get a single console of Stacked switches from there we can configure all the stacked switches interfaces easily.
Pros
- Physical Stacking of the switches is possible.
- From a single console we can easily upgrade the firmware of stack switches.
- Command line is easy and standard.
- Provides good L2 security.
Cons
- Catalyst switches are being used for Core Switches where L3 routing is required as well as for distribution and access layer catalyst switches are capable of managing the organization traffic.
- Stacked switches firmware upgradation process can be simplified.
- With this product our organization network is running 24/7 without any network disruption.
Its functionality of Stacking the multiple switches into one unit.
