Webex Meetings is a video conferencing platform provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. with built-in AI and machine learning capabilities to eliminate tasks from users’ plates. It supports team meetings, webinars, online training, real-time technical support, and conference calling.https://media.trustradius.com/product-logos/PY/Ei/TXG7TZILI5VU.PNGWebex - Nothing More (than its peers), Nothing Less (unless you skimped on your license)Webex is being used in our organization primarily for online meetings that involve screen share. It is currently being phased out in our company in favor of Microsoft Teams Meeting. Because of our licensing agreement with Webex, only a portion of the users were able to use integrated audio as well. Most users only have access to the screen sharing portion and telephony was handled by a separate conference bridge.,Webex was easily accessible throughout the org for meetings - the integration with Outlook was pretty good. Webex did a good job with screen sharing and the standard webconference (non-audio) features. The Webex app was not insignificant. I used it on an iphone as a supplement and it was very useful.,Not inherently connecting VOIP with the screen sharing meant (for us) that we always had to wrangle 2 tools to start a meeting rather than 1. The Webex desktop app was helpful, like the mobile app, but the primary experience our company was likely sold against was the web version. That is the weaker of the 3 platforms. Webex recordings were very difficult to make, edit, download and convert. Simplicity would have served them well. Attaching a dial in conference bridge (again, because of our licensing model) was a below average experience. VOIP is far superior, but given the option for less spend, companies will often take it even if ill-advised.,3,It served its purpose as an interim step (for almost 5 years) to a Microsoft platform (Teams Meetings). The impact was neutral. It enabled us to share information live, which is basic functionality. It allowed us to learn what we needed and what we underbought with this platform. The impact was little more than an analogue with keeping the lights on - it provided us nothing unique to its peers.,GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, BlueJeans, Zoom and Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Zoom, Microsoft Teams, BlueJeans, Google Hangouts, Asana,,2,Remote web conferencing (screen share only) Ad-hoc screen share to request help or provide example / for instance. Webinars (screen share only - telephony was handled over conference bridge),We have used the mobile version as a remote webcam - both standalone and as a supplement to a screenshare.,We will be decommissioning the tool in favor of Microsoft Teams. No further Webex meeting use will continue into the future.,1,Yes,Price Product Features Product Reputation Vendor Reputation Analyst Reports,User experience testing. It was clear that after a few meetings trying to stitch together a conference bridge, record a meeting, retrieve that recording, etc...that we had made a poor decision. A full-throated demo of a product with actual users is a must. Use cases need to include ad-hoc meetings, meetings that get started at the minute (how long does tech take to fire up and be ready), VOIP quality, bandwidth issues for remote users, recording quality/ease/retrieval time. We bought Cisco's solution, not the best web conferencing tool we could find.,Implemented in-house,Change management was minimal,Lack of user stories up front / user experience was not addressed. Lack of training for key staff. Lack of fully integrated VOIP throughout the entire company - BIG MISS.,2,We were given good support for recording and replaying a Webex meeting. The problem was that we needed good support. It wasn't intuitive, easy, painless, or anything remotely close to what the user experience could have been. Complex forum posts, very complex feature execution, and general convolution in the design led us to need the support that they did a very good job of providing.,5,The mobile app, surprisingly enough, was quite elegant. It was easy to use and intuitively designed. The integration with Outlook was somewhat easy to use The desktop application, like the mobile app, was easy to use. The Personal Room feature was handy.,Recording meetings and retrieving them from the cloud was miserable. Trying to connect a conference bridge to a Webex meeting was no fun. The configurations available for a Webex meeting in the user's personal account were wonky. It was too much agency to give users who all wanted to do the same thing. There aren't many things you need a web conferencing tool to do. Just make them work - don't make me work.,Yes,6Webex Meetings is a great platform for remote collaborations and presentationsAt my current company, Webex Meetings is currently used for large meetings that need to include employees not onsite, sharing content with external collaborators, or sometimes internally to screen share. Sometimes it's a combination of those reasons. Internal meetings sometimes include large training sessions. Personally, it has helped to include employees that work offsite or at home that need to attend group meetings.,WebEx Meetings enables large and small audience meetings. It is very scalable. It can be an interactive meeting with 3-5 attendees or a webinar with over 100. The host can configure a ton of options for the meeting so that it can run smoothly. i.e. mute all attendees, allow/disable screen sharing, or grant access to specific features to attendees. The integration with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, is very useful. If the tools are installed, a Webex meeting can be created and added to a scheduled meeting easily at the same time as scheduling the meeting. Requested attendees will automatically have the meeting link in the invite. Usually, attendees do not need prior set up to join the meetings.,Integration with a company's teleconference system is not always smooth. If it were up to me, I'd only allow VoIP through the Webex Meetings for audio. For new Webex host users, the learning curve can be steep since there are many features that the host needs to be sure to configure and know how to control. The user interface has changed quite a bit throughout the years. I feel in the last few years the colors and arrangements have made it more difficult to find things in the Webex Meeting's window and panels. Sometimes attendees are joining from their company which has specific desktop restrictions that may make joining the meeting not intuitive for the users. It would help if they could detect that and make it more intuitive for the user to know they should run the stand-alone temporary exe file, for example.,9,Allows our organization to collaborate easily with outside vendors and externally based employees. Doesn't limit the flexibility of telecommuting if there are onsite meetings. Adding to work/life balance benefits. More often than not, being able to share content in a remote meeting allows for less misunderstanding and miscommunication about topics and objectives discussed.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Jabber, CamtasiaWebex Meetings - reliable, easy to use, great qualityWebex Meetings is used across our organization. Deliver the training sessions to customers and internal employees using Webex Meeting Center. Our HR uses Webex Meeting Center to conduct an interview with the candidates. Sales review calls happen on Webex where conference recording is needed.,Interop with on-prem solution. PSTN calling option and anyone can join using his video conference endpoint. Easy to join: anyone can join from any smart device.,If user count increases to 50+, then the active speaker switching on screen becomes very slow. Polycom video endpoints some times face issues when joining Webex bridge. For Webex adoption user training is required most of the time.,10,Positive impact is customers can save travel cost. Anyone can join from anywhere using any smart device. Engineers can support their customers remotely.,Zoom and GoToMeeting,Skype, Zoom, GoToMeetingOne Stop Shop.Webex meetings has become one of the most used products in our company. In our Public Saftey Department, it is used for all of our officers to meet remotely without the need to come into the office. The fire department is able to meet several times a month without the need of moving fire trucks and ambulances. Since moving these vehicles causes a lot of problems with response times and cost, Webex has saved us a whole lot of money.,Enrollment and license management for enterprise users. Ease of use and documentation. Always leading on cutting edge technology. Quickly became the industry standard.,Webex meetings can get costly quickly. Reviewing the meeting recordings requires a specific player. No dark mode.,10,Saves us time because we can meet quickly without the need for booking a conference room. Ability to record helps us pass along the message without the need for another conference call. Annotating makes it very interactive.,,Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark), Jabber, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager)Great collaboration product for your businessWebex Meetings is used across our whole organization. We use it primarily for meetings and sharing content both internally and externally. It is also used for internal and external events, conducting demos and distance workshops.,Webex Meeting connects very quickly and is very intuitive. Webex Meeting has excellent integration with Microsoft Outlook which helps to send invitations with access to the personal room in a very natural and simple way. Webex Meeting allows you to have meetings with anyone in virtual form as if it were face-to-face.,Webex Meeting recordings are definitely a point of improvement, more when sharing content and video. If we send an invitation using the plug-in with Outlook it always incorporates a password to access the room, even when it is not necessary. The mail template is modifiable, but the form is not very intuitive. Simplifying it would help a lot.,10,We had a decrease in travel expenses for personal meetings. We improve the Service Level Agreement to support our customers. We were able to carry out technical workshops incorporating clients from other countries.,Zoom,Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark), Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager), Cisco Unified Contact CenterWebex meetings is greatUsed across the organization. It benefits us by making us more agile and saving time and money on travel to central locations.,Remote control Collaboration Convenience,Latency is sometimes a problem. Removes the problem of finding room resources with projects.,Let's meet via Webex! Our org is currently using Webex Meetings across the whole organization. On the whole, Webex gives us the flexibility for all of our users to be able to participate in or out of the office. Many of our staff are mobile, so giving the option to meet on the go allows the org to be agile as well as efficient.,Simple set up Audio Video,Higher quality video, 1080 is missing. I do wish more departments would get on board with it. Being able to meet at a moments notice and have scheduled meetings is nice. We have a room kit mini and its tie into Webex is really nice as you get the whole conference room and you don't have to worry about a laptop going to sleep at the end of the table.,Being able to connect from any device. Being able to share content. Using the Room Kit is awesome!,Had to go down for an Organization transfer/change to put all under one Organization. But as of now, we are good! More step by step documentation on getting all the bells and whistles up and going. Trying to setup the Webex Edge calling and video mesh takes a bit of time.,10,It will be great once we get more rooms outfitted with room kits. Less travel for the users that don't "need" to meet in person. Getting the users to use all the features.,Zoom,Jabber, Cisco Webex Teams (formerly Cisco Spark), PhaseWare TrackerWebex Meetings is the best way to organize and manage your meetingsWebex Meetings is being used by our entire organization. I can easily say that it's almost a default tool for our daily communication. We use it to communicate not only with our colleagues from different regions within the company; but also with suppliers or service providers from outside the company. We use it to schedule meetings and share information during the meetings, and to broadcast information or to review status. As a summary, it is one of the most useful tools that have been used so far within our organization.,High-resolution video conferencing and a variety of connectivity options. You can share your screen or annotate other user screens and make basic controls. You can make video/audio calls via landlines or internet connection through your device. Audio quality is most of the times good and robust. I like Webex tools and add-ons a lot, as these really make the office life easier for me. The Outlook add-on tool is a very useful feature. You can simply add the WebEx link to your invitations or launch instant or scheduled meetings just by one click from Outlook add-on button. Another good tool is the Webex Productivity tool which can be added as a shortcut to your desktop. You can manage all your agenda and organize any meetings with this tool. You can also have most of these features on mobile versions of Webex as well. I'm using the iOS version of the Webex app and it gives me all the flexibility I need while I'm away from my desk or during business travels. Mobile platform usage is a very big plus of Webex. Lots of features such as share and control screens, interaction with users, give or restrict access, message features and so on. These give you the power to have an efficient meeting. You can record meetings and trainings and save them for use later on, what a perfect feature!,Voice quality depends on your connection method. If you are using a headset which is connected to your IP or landline phone; then the outcome is almost perfect. However, if you're using a computer to dial in, the voice quality depends on your internet speed. Probably the only critical issue with Webex may be the lag after sharing your screen or after annotating (taking over) other users' screen for a long time period. The Webex interface is very cool and simple but somehow the latest version can cause users to struggle with the controls. Very rarely, Webex servers can respond slowly or give no response. I think this is something that can happen with any service providers, so I don't see it as an issue.,9,Webex Meetings is well worth all the investment made, considering the positive results and the effectiveness it brought to daily office life. Webex Meetings helps to improve effective communication and information sharing.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync) and AnyMeeting,Skype for Business (formerly Lync), M‑Files, Microsoft Office 2016, Adobe Acrobat DC, MS SharePointStay productive and connected with WebexWebex Meetings is used to conduct meetings with clients, employees, and partners not located in our immediate area. It makes it easy to communicate across the company and with current and potential business clients. Everyone at the company uses it from time to time, but the main user is our CEO for his business meetings.,Easy to use by just clicking the invite link and getting connected. Who is online and who has joined the meeting are visible. Webex Meetings can call you, rather than using your phone number to call out. It is great for international users.,I would like to see where you can hide attendees if you want to do a webinar with it. Pricing option for Small Businesses.,9,It reduces traveling cost for the business since you don't have to see the other person every time for a meeting. It reduces travel time since you don't have to drive 1 hour to see someone for a 15-minute meeting. That time can be used for other business items. It boosts efficiency as everyone will be on the same page through seeing and hearing what should be done. It helps recalling important items as there are recordings of the meeting, so you can go back and check.,GoToMeetingGood Online Meeting ProgramWebex is our company for our online meeting system, I've been using it since 2013 and I like the product. Setting up a meeting or joining a meeting with Webex is so easy. Especially if I'm using the one-click button on Outlook, this way I don't need to arrange many things because in seconds the meeting is arranged. It is very good for international meetings.,Easy to set up the meeting, with just one click and the meeting link is ready. It is easy to join a meeting, you can call from your computer or phone. It is very good for international meetings, you can use it from anywhere you want.,Interface is not good, it should improve in time. I don't like the background color and the button types. Chat is not so effective.,8,One positive impact is that you can use your cellphone for a meeting, you don't need any app you just enter your cellphone number to join the meeting. It gives you mobility. Skype is a more common program so every first time user can't get used to this program. When you are giving a lesson or trying to explain something you require a more effective chat but Webex doesn't have a good one.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync),Skype for Business (formerly Lync), CATIA, Dropbox BusinessSubpar ServiceWe are a virtual company so online conferencing is our lifeblood. The WebEx product is very buggy and the service is horrendous. Audio on calls will randomly start sounding robotic. It took me 8 attempts (email/phone) to get a reply from my account manager. Every time you have an issue you submit a ticket, but it takes 2 days for someone to get back to you (long after the meeting is over.) By far, the worst service and support I've experienced with any technology platform we have licensed. I thought we couldn't go wrong going with a well-known brand but it turns out I was wrong.,Average at best Poor audio quality Able to record meetings,Very buggy Poor audio Behind on features like automatic audio transcription,1,Brand damaging My team was frustrated and embarrassed by the quality of the conferencing Very clunky interface Clients stopped using it (embarrassing) and asked us to use their Zoom dial-in instead,Zoom,Microsoft Office 365, HubSpot, SlackWebEx Meetings is a must-have to bridge the gaps between individuals who work together, but in different locationsWebex Meetings is used enterprise-wide in my organization, to conduct conference and video calls. It closes the distances between our businesses by allowing us to have live face-to-face discussions. My organization is global, and without a tool such as Webex, we would have to travel more often to attend certain meetings.,It allows us to share our screens, fostering participation and collaboration. It enables high-quality video calls. We can conduct meetings with a high number of participants. I am not aware whether there is any limitation.,The sound quality is very good, but could probably be improved. It would be nice if one of the attendees could record the meeting in their individual end as well.,10,WebEx meetings contributed to cost savings efforts and the reduction of opex, because it often replaces the need for traveling.,Skype for Business (formerly Lync), GoToMeeting and InterCall,Skype for Business (formerly Lync), Workplace by FacebookAn easy way to have a meetingWe use Webex meetings within the whole organization and it helps saves travel cost and also to be able to connect with other organizations at a very low cost. Webex works just like any other web meeting tool. It has an app, a desktop app, and a web version. At this point, I would be unlikely to recommend it because of its specificity to the business world (as opposed to something like Zoom, BlueJeans, etc...) and the requirement for a corporate licensing model that doesn't exactly make the juice worth the squeeze for a product that really doesn't differentiate itself on an enterprise level as anything uniquely special amongst its peers.

  • The user interface has changed quite a bit throughout the years. I feel in the last few years the colors and arrangements have made it more difficult to find things in the Webex Meeting's window and panels.
  • Sometimes attendees are joining from their company which has specific desktop restrictions that may make joining the meeting not intuitive for the users. It would help if they could detect that and make it more intuitive for the user to know they should run the stand-alone temporary exe file, for example.
If a colleague asked about using Webex Meetings, I would first ask them about their specific use case. If there are only one or two presenters with minimal attendee interaction (i.e. webinars) then it is a perfect platform. Also, I would not suggest a host use it for large meetings without practicing first. Fumbling with the settings while in a real meeting just gives a perception of incompetence with the tool.

For internal company meetings, other platforms can be easier to use such as Skype for Business. Small meetings with external vendors is an excellent use for WebEx Meetings since there is minimal setup for scheduling and often the outside vendors have their own Webex accounts as well.

Webex Meetings - reliable, easy to use, great quality

Webex Meetings is used across our organization. It is used for internal meetings, meetings that include external partners, and meetings that include customers and for telemedicine. We use it across various types of devices such as smartphones, workstations, tablets, and higher-end Cisco meeting rooms.
  • Quality of voice and video is excellent.
  • Compatibility across various devices.
  • Reliable.
  • Easy to use.
  • A little better GUI for those that provide support and need to remotely control or exchange files.
  • Update Microsoft Outlook without having to restart Outlook.
  • Provide persistent meeting space for recurring meetings that would house history documents, agendas, and communications (e.g. chat, Q&A).
Webex Meetings is well suited for environments where enterprise quality and reliability is needed. It is also well suited for environments where various types of devices are being used including those not supported by your organization. Webex Meetings can also address varying needs of quality from relatively inexpensive webcams and speakers to expensive high-quality room systems and allow all types to participate in the same meeting. I've used most popular meeting applications and I've found only two of them to be reliable and easy to use, with Webex being one of them. Webex Meetings can be more costly than others but I find this justifiable, as it is generally a better product.

  • Calling service with different options. We particularly use the computer option which is easy to use and practical.
  • Show and share options.
  • Sharing files. Should be as simple as just move from my desktop to the shared desktop.
Well suited for online meetings.

Webex Meeting: a decent cloud solution for cloud conferencing, remote support and many more

We are using this Webex meeting as a cloud conferencing bridge for video conference and also to give remote support to our customers. Deliver the training sessions to customers and internal employees using Webex Meeting Center. Our HR uses Webex Meeting Center to conduct an interview with the candidates. Sales review calls happen on Webex where conference recording is needed.
  • Interop with on-prem solution.
  • PSTN calling option and anyone can join using his video conference endpoint.
  • Easy to join: anyone can join from any smart device.
  • If user count increases to 50+, then the active speaker switching on screen becomes very slow.
  • Polycom video endpoints some times face issues when joining Webex bridge.
  • For Webex adoption user training is required most of the time.
Webex is suited where the customer wants to less travel, in this case, they can use Webex meeting as a video conference bridge. HR can conduct interviews on Webex, this will saves the candidates time and money. Review meetings or board meetings can be conducted on Webex as a recording facility is available.

Webex meetings has become one of the most used products in our company. In our Public Saftey Department, it is used for all of our officers to meet remotely without the need to come into the office. The fire department is able to meet several times a month without the need of moving fire trucks and ambulances. Since moving these vehicles causes a lot of problems with response times and cost, Webex has saved us a whole lot of money.
  • Enrollment and license management for enterprise users.
  • Ease of use and documentation.
  • Always leading on cutting edge technology.
  • Quickly became the industry standard.
  • Webex meetings can get costly quickly.
  • Reviewing the meeting recordings requires a specific player.
  • No dark mode.
Save us time and money on training and meetings throughout the whole city. Since we can meet at our own desk, we no longer suffer from lack of conference rooms and conference phones. No longer need projectors and computers at each conference room. All these things were solved by Webex Meetings.

Webex Meetings is used across our whole organization. We use it primarily for meetings and sharing content both internally and externally. Engineering also has specific use cases for it, the primary one being remote control for troubleshooting with customers.
  • Video conferencing
  • Audio conferencing
  • Sharing content for meetings
  • Remote control
  • Requires a client for full functionality
  • Doesn't support as many simultaneous video participants as other products
Webex Meetings is great for adhoc meetings, scheduled meetings, and remote screen sharing for troubleshooting. One area it isn't great for is hosting webinars. It can be done for smaller webinars, but I would definitely recommend Webex Event Center instead.

Webex Meeting: Virtual meetings with anyone

Score 10 out of 10

Cisco Webex Meeting is being used by the entire company, in Argentina, Paraguay, and Chile.
We use it daily to hold meetings with customers, suppliers and also to support our customers, improving the service level agreement by minimizing the resolution time. It is also used for internal and external events, conducting demos and distance workshops.

  • Webex Meeting connects very quickly and is very intuitive.
  • Webex Meeting has excellent integration with Microsoft Outlook which helps to send invitations with access to the personal room in a very natural and simple way.
  • Webex Meeting allows you to have meetings with anyone in virtual form as if it were face-to-face.
  • Webex Meeting recordings are definitely a point of improvement, more when sharing content and video.
  • If we send an invitation using the plug-in with Outlook it always incorporates a password to access the room, even when it is not necessary.
  • The mail template is modifiable, but the form is not very intuitive. Simplifying it would help a lot.
Webex Meeting is appropriate to have any type of virtual meeting. Even to conduct job interviews and supporting clients by taking control of the remote computer or simply by sharing a document or video. Webex Meeting is not appropriate when the internet link is not of good quality or of low speed since the user experience with these features is not very good.

Used across the organization. It benefits us by making us more agile and saving time and money on travel to central locations.
  • Remote control
  • Collaboration
  • Convenience
  • Latency is sometimes a problem.
  • Occasionally slow to load.
It is great for small to medium-sized groups. Our training department really likes the accountability of knowing that users are focused on the meeting and not other tasks.

Our org is currently using Webex Meetings across the whole organization. On the whole, Webex gives us the flexibility for all of our users to be able to participate in or out of the office. Many of our staff are mobile, so giving the option to meet on the go allows the org to be agile as well as efficient.
  • Simple set up
  • Audio
  • Video
  • Higher quality video, 1080 is missing.
  • Audio transcriptions would be nice.
The following scenarios work best for Webex Meetings:
  1. Remote knowledge workers.
  2. Meetings on the go.
  3. Adoption by multiple companies.

It is being used across the whole organization. I do wish more departments would get on board with it. Being able to meet at a moments notice and have scheduled meetings is nice. We have a room kit mini and its tie into Webex is really nice as you get the whole conference room and you don't have to worry about a laptop going to sleep at the end of the table.
  • Being able to connect from any device.
  • Being able to share content.
  • Using the Room Kit is awesome!
  • Had to go down for an Organization transfer/change to put all under one Organization. But as of now, we are good!
  • More step by step documentation on getting all the bells and whistles up and going.
  • Trying to setup the Webex Edge calling and video mesh takes a bit of time.
Quick meetings and sharing screens or using it as a remote control replacement when your primary is not working for you to remote your users. Great for use when you are traveling and still need to meet face to face with video. When you have a video phone in your environment you don't really need Webex when you could just call the person, so that would be a less appropriate time to use Webex.

Webex Meetings is the best way to organize and manage your meetings

Score 9 out of 10
Vetted Review

Webex Meetings is being used by our entire organization. I can easily say that it's almost a default tool for our daily communication. We use it to communicate not only with our colleagues from different regions within the company; but also with suppliers or service providers from outside the company. We use it to schedule meetings and share information during the meetings, and to broadcast information or to review status. As a summary, it is one of the most useful tools that have been used so far within our organization.
  • High-resolution video conferencing and a variety of connectivity options. You can share your screen or annotate other user screens and make basic controls. You can make video/audio calls via landlines or internet connection through your device. Audio quality is most of the times good and robust.
  • I like Webex tools and add-ons a lot, as these really make the office life easier for me.
  • You can also have most of these features on mobile versions of Webex as well. I'm using the iOS version of the Webex app and it gives me all the flexibility I need while I'm away from my desk or during business travels. Mobile platform usage is a very big plus of Webex.
  • Lots of features such as share and control screens, interaction with users, give or restrict access, message features and so on. These give you the power to have an efficient meeting.
  • You can record meetings and trainings and save them for use later on, what a perfect feature!
  • Voice quality depends on your connection method. If you are using a headset which is connected to your IP or landline phone; then the outcome is almost perfect. However, if you're using a computer to dial in, the voice quality depends on your internet speed.
  • Probably the only critical issue with Webex may be the lag after sharing your screen or after annotating (taking over) other users' screen for a long time period.
  • The Webex interface is very cool and simple but somehow the latest version can cause users to struggle with the controls.
  • Very rarely, Webex servers can respond slowly or give no response. I think this is something that can happen with any service providers, so I don't see it as an issue.
Webex Meetings really makes communication easier. If you're working in a global company or doing business with people from different regions, this is the perfect tool to use. You can set-up a meeting anytime by just clicking one button. During the meeting, you can share your screen, annotate/control other user screens or even dictate other users. Good for large group attenders from different locations; also good for organizing training by using Webex tools. It is perfect to connect people from different locations or time zones. I do not think it's necessary to use Webex tools for the people who are able to use the same meeting room or same location.

Webex Meetings is used to conduct meetings with clients, employees, and partners not located in our immediate area. It makes it easy to communicate across the company and with current and potential business clients. Everyone at the company uses it from time to time, but the main user is our CEO for his business meetings.
  • Easy to use by just clicking the invite link and getting connected.
  • Who is online and who has joined the meeting are visible.
  • Webex Meetings can call you, rather than using your phone number to call out.
  • It is great for international users.
  • I would like to see where you can hide attendees if you want to do a webinar with it.
  • Pricing option for Small Businesses.
Webex Meetings is great when conducting a meeting with many employees who are at different locations worldwide. Everyone can join in and even share screens without delays. Webex Meetings also works great for presentations and demos to current or future clients to show your products and services before meeting in person, which may involve traveling and creates travel expenses.

It would not be practical if you only want to talk to employees in the same office, which is easier with a meeting face to face or phone call.

Webex is our company for our online meeting system, I've been using it since 2013 and I like the product. Setting up a meeting or joining a meeting with Webex is so easy. Especially if I'm using the one-click button on Outlook, this way I don't need to arrange many things because in seconds the meeting is arranged. It is very good for international meetings.
  • Easy to set up the meeting, with just one click and the meeting link is ready.
  • It is easy to join a meeting, you can call from your computer or phone.
  • It is very good for international meetings, you can use it from anywhere you want.
  • Interface is not good, it should improve in time.
  • I don't like the background color and the button types.
  • Chat is not so effective.
If you are planning to do an online meeting with your international colleagues, Webex can satisfy all of your needs. You just need to enter some basic info and then you're done. You can set a meeting in just a minute. You can share your screen at the meeting and it is very useful, especially when explaining something.

Subpar Service

We are a virtual company so online conferencing is our lifeblood. I thought we couldn't go wrong going with a well-known brand but it turns out I was wrong.
  • Average at best
  • Poor audio quality
  • Able to record meetings
  • Very buggy
  • Poor audio
  • Behind on features like automatic audio transcription
WebEx is a mediocre product, with extremely poor account management and customer service. There are plenty of better, cheaper solutions. Do not choose WebEx if you expect your providers to care about your business. Unless you are a Fortune 500 brand you will not be on their radar and you won't be able to get your most basic account management needs met. I had a question about my contract and why it was extended 5 months beyond the original term and it took 3 weeks and many attempts to even get a reply. It feels like they were purposely trying to be shady by locking us in for a longer contract when we added a couple seats.

WebEx Meetings is a must-have to bridge the gaps between individuals who work together, but in different locations

Webex Meetings is used enterprise-wide in my organization, to conduct conference and video calls. It closes the distances between our businesses by allowing us to have live face-to-face discussions. My organization is global, and without a tool such as Webex, we would have to travel more often to attend certain meetings.
  • It allows us to share our screens, fostering participation and collaboration.
  • It enables high-quality video calls.
  • We can conduct meetings with a high number of participants. I am not aware whether there is any limitation.
  • The sound quality is very good, but could probably be improved.
  • It would be nice if one of the attendees could record the meeting in their individual end as well.
Well suited: to close the silos between co-workers who are not in the same location, to conduct webinars, for trainings, and to share content and foster collaboration.
Less appropriate: if in-person meetings are a must.

We use Webex meetings within the whole organization and it helps saves travel cost and also to be able to connect with other organizations at a very low cost. We used to struggle a lot in assisting the business to have meetings outside of the organization. the senior managers, executive, and board members are very happy since we have purchased Webex licenses.
  • Remote video conferencing.
  • Webinars.
  • Remote sharing.
  • Teleconferencing.
  • It's the easiest way to connect to Skype for Business.
  • Works well with Cisco devices.
Webex Meetings is very good for doctors to use because it allows them to connect anywhere as long as they have internet access, it does not restrict users to having meetings in the boardroom, different users in the organization can use it to communicate using messages, video calls, and teleconference calls.

While we have transitioned to Skype meetings recently we are currently in transition. Webex has been used (along with a couple other tools) for several years and we used Webex prior to coming to JDI. Not to mention multiple sessions outside of JDI. Currently, there are targeted internal users who have a Webex login and use it. We use it to host remote meetings, conference calls, training sessions and record pertinent partner meetings as applicable.
  • Recording presentations or training
  • Remote user group meetings for any purpose
  • Information sharing or learning across multiple geographies
  • I feel Webex is one of the best providers out there no room for improvement in my opinion
It is exceptional for recording anything - clean, simple and easy to use. You also do not need to have anything loaded on your computer to attend or host a Webex Meeting you can simply launch a temporary application which saves on hard drive space. I have rarely had a Webex Meeting not work AND the recording process is very simple easy to use. When recording is finished it is shared promptly so it can be shared with attendees or those that were unable to attend.

WebEx Meetings is used throughout the company and has helped to create a great collaboration experience. Our clients can see what we recommend through video and the ability for us to share our desktop. Webex is definitely a great way to keep our clients satisfied in the process and we are able to schedule meetings quickly.
  • Easy to schedule meetings with clients.
  • Can see exactly who is on the call.
  • Receive notifications of upcoming meetings and set it up to notify when someone logs into the meeting.
  • Need the ability to add people to the meeting during the call.
  • User interface needs a little cleaning up where you can chat and have the video in full screen.
  • Nothing else
Definitely well suited to use Webex Meetings for monthly reports from various teams and for brainstorming new product ideas or solutions.

Webex is used through the whole organization as our means of holding team meetings with not only people based in different parts of the UK, but also our field sales reps.
  • Ease of setting up a meeting.
  • Audio connection via PC.
  • Ability to select which screen to share when multiple screens are used.
  • Can sometimes be a little slow.
  • The chat section isn't always clear on when you have received a chat.
Webex is well suited to our business because it enables us to schedule meetings incorporating all the necessary people regardless of location. The ability to share screens whether you are the host or not is great, as sometimes details are hard to grasp without visuals, and being able to share from the quick link toggle at the very top of the screen is great. Our outside field reps are able to join meetings each week using Webex, which is great for them as they have visuals of everyone using the webcam and are able to see new and relevant presentations in real time with their manager present.
