Overall Satisfaction with Cisco DNA Center

Implemented it across multiple customers for Cisco SD-Access and Assurance use cases.

Pros

  • Inbuilt Workflows for SDA
  • Network Discovery
  • Cisco ISE Integration and Provisioning

Cons

  • Day N Templates are not intuitive
  • AAA Provisioning needs to be able to read the config off the device and adjust
  • Assurance data is never on point specially wireless
  • Ability to integrate more than one ISE cluster instead of adding it as a AAA server
  • Took a real beating on the wrong assurance data!
  • Helped me scale out the SDA implementation very well across multiple customers.
  • Upgrades still take forever!
DNA-Center is better than CVP or than Cisco Prime but you're trying to do too many things.

I think it can fit into every customer setup. However, instead of adding more features with every release, it must be made sure that existing features work properly no matter what the customer deployment.
