Overall Satisfaction with Cisco DNA Center

We have recently implemented Cisco DNAC and we mainly use it for assurance and device contralability. The assurance part is really nice where the DNAC actually shows the specifics of the issue, especially with wireless. A user complained about a slow internet connection and I was able to see what the exact issue was and got it resolved more quickly than I expected. And it is also nice to have all the device monitoring information in one place. Device controllability is another use case of ours and it is nice to be able to manage all the devices from a single platform without having to log in to the devices. Auto-provisioning with DNAC is the other use case we are looking forward to, even though we didn't get a chance to use this feature yet.
  • Wireless monitoring
  • Device contrallability
  • Zero touch provisioning
  • We ran into multiple issues during implementation. It could be more user-friendly.
  • Can't manage the devices that are in controller mode. Please look into it.
  • Allow the dashboards to be customizable.
  • We are relatively new to DNAC but so far the impact has been positive. We didn't get to use all the features yet.
We have used Panorama for our Paloalto gear. But DNAC is comparatively so much better due to thing we can achieve with it.

Do you think Cisco Catalyst Center delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Catalyst Center's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Catalyst Center live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Catalyst Center go as expected?

No

Would you buy Cisco Catalyst Center again?

Yes

More useful to isolate routing issues, hardware issues, wired and wireless client issues. It gives you specifics of the issue and also provides you an insight into how you can fix it. DNAC makes it easy to manage and provision devices. May not be an ideal solution in a multi-vendor environment.
