Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS
We use Cisco Meraki MS for our Retail environment, as MDF and IDF switching. This is replacing our Catalyst switching due to the scalability and integration we can achieve with automation through Meraki.
Pros
- API and Automation
- Monitoring
- Centralized Management
Cons
- Templating and being able to set some global variables
- Better alerting structures and customizability
- Time to Deployment, Day0, DayN+
- Maintenance of central configs
Our Day0 and DayN+ operations are greatly simplified with Cisco Meraki MS, as we are able to automate most provisioning and configuration operations. This has also allowed us to standardize configuration across our environment from Day0.
