Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS
We use them as both Layer 2 and layer 3 devices at multiple branches across the whole organization. Some just layer 2 but are layer 3 capable while others are used for routing purposes so fully utilize the layer 3 capabilities that Meraki can provide. Some branches have one some have two or more depending on the branch size.
- Cloud managed
- Multi-layer
- Ease of use
- Reliable
- Life cycle upgrades
- Price
- Ease of remote access
- Remotely deploy without need of travel
- Lowered maintenance costs
We have been able to remotely deploy, manage and administer multiple branches core and access layer switches without having to travel to them. Considering the issues due to COVID this has reduced any extra complexity that COVID has added to any day to day administration of networks and network services across the whole organization.
Meraki integrates seamlessly with all the other Cisco products we have and makes overall management a lot easier compared to other products we have trialed or demo'd over the years. We have been able to get routers, switches wifi access points, cameras of both brands all connected and also work well out of the box with Cisco Webex too.
Hands down Cisco Meraki switches beat out the competition. Yes, you have to have the licensing, but it is worth it to centrally managing them all from a "single pane of glass."
