Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Meraki MS
Its like an access switch. So it's just providing all the infrastructure for all the wide stuff in our offices and for APs to uplink back to our call.
Pros
- So what it does really well is really the simplicity. So we can just give access to the technicians just to the panel and they can easily understand it and make the changes they need. So that's one of the main parts in as well. It's the remote management as well. So it seems to work really well. Even if you've made a mistake and you've disconnected or broken the main management uplink, it'll find a different path up to the network and allow you to resolve the issue.
Cons
- So compared to the Cisco Catalyst series, there isn't that many dolls you can turn and just optimize stuff. So particularly I'm not quite sure around how stuff like MACsec would work on the MS. It's something that I've really got to look into more and the documentation isn't really that obvious for that feature.
- So it's really helped us grow. So before we're managing a lot of switches like individually, but now with the Cisco Meraki MS platform we're able to manage a much larger network with the same amount of people.
We use Cisco ISE to is our network access control. So just to provide automation to the MS devices. Yeah, I think that's it, which is directly connected.
We haven't really tried many of the others, but what we have experienced on the Cisco Meraki platform we're quite happy with.
