Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Nexus Series Switches

Cisco Nexus Series Switches 9000 are just the model that you need for your datacenter LAN solution.

Pros

  • Are used as TOR switch in our traditional infrastructure
  • They are used as Leaf switches in our IP fabrics
  • You can do a lot of things with those 1 RU switch ( referring to 93180yc fx3 )

Cons

  • VPC
  • VXLAN EVPN
  • QOS
  • I would say a positive one, with Cisco Nexus Series Switches 9k we were able to reduce the model that we had in our catalogue, today we only have fx3 as dc LAN switch, which means less headache on Engineering and release management staff
As said, the can be used every where, traditional and IP fabric design.
