Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Secure Connect
We use it to keep our remote and branch office securely connected to company resources. This helps solve the challenge of providing secure access for anyone who is working outside the main office, especially as our workforce grows. We can manage security policies and monitor network traffic in one place.
Pros
- During a project with remote teams, it enabled a quick and secure access to applications across locations
- When we noticed suspicious login attempts, it flagged them instantly
- It made it simple to branch office management by reducing the need for hardware at each location
Cons
- Found sometimes to have latency issues
- Initial configuration and integration with legacy systems are a bit complex
- Reporting tools in secure connect lack customization
- Cisco Secure Connect reduced VPN maintenance cost
- Onboarding time for remote employees decreased
- Centralized management cut troubleshooting time
We evaluated Zscaler and Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access alongside Cisco Secure Connect. Zscaler offered strong security but lacked the centralized network management features we needed. Prisma Access had robust integration and customization, yet was more complex to deploy and manage. We chose Cisco Secure Connect for its balance of ease of use, centralized management, and Cisco’s established support network, which provided a smoother transition for our team while meeting our core security and connectivity needs.
