Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Spaces

We use it to give the end users more visibility on our buildings, how they find meeting rooms, how they find a way through our building, and also at the same time provide insights to our real estate management team.

Pros

  • I think it creates the visibility which is missing for end users specifically when you have a lot of visitors in your building, typically they don't know where to go and Cisco Spaces ideally provides through their 3D maps a way that the users can actually find their way through our bidding without being accompanied.

Cons

  • That's a tough one because it's actually so good. I think integration into Meraki could be done better. Sensors from third parties could be maybe enriched and integration into the building management systems.
  • It creates far more efficiency in our building and it basically gives people data that they have ever dreamed of
I would say location analytics would be the most important one because people spend a lot of money for their meeting rooms and they actually want to know if they are used the way they were intended to be used.
That actually not applies for us because we just recently installed Cisco spaces when we were back from Corona and Covid.

I think the most influenced we have seen about how the building is actually occupied, where people actually go in our building and sometimes you cannot change the behavior, even if you tell the people 10 or 20 times what they should do. But if you get these insights, you can adjust your processes in the backend so that you can automatically adjust the behavior of the people. Without that, they actually know what has changed and that's magical.
We're actually not allowed to do that because Germany is very sensitive in terms of where the users are going in our building. And there are certain parts and spaces which we know not use because of a workers' council decision.

Do you think Cisco Spaces delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Cisco Spaces's feature set?

Yes

Did Cisco Spaces live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Cisco Spaces go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Cisco Spaces again?

Yes

I think it's well suited for real estate management teams when they are drowning in data, but they're starting from insights. I think that's most appropriate. It's possibly not the right solution for smaller sites. So if it's very obvious where you need to go or you don't need that visibility because the office is particularly small, it doesn't make sense at all.
