Overall Satisfaction with Cohesity DataProtect
Cohesity DataProtect has allowed us to integrate our backup solution into the same platform as our hypervisor compute platform. This allows us to gain efficiency in keeping it up to date as well as monitor it from a single pane of glass. We were able to upgrade the storage to an enterprise level product that has seen better performance and reliability than our previous solution. With the addition of the Cohesity Helios app we are able to keep a closer eye on backups anywhere we go.
- Better visibility on hardware usage compared the popular alternatives.
- Individual backup jobs have settings requiring less manual effort for new vm's.
- Better dedup and compression visibility than previous product offered.
- M365 integration
- Native integration with our storage provider.
- More API integration instead of installing agents on servers.
- visibility of job completion
- utilization of purchased hardware
- the ability to keep backups protected from ransomware and/or internal threats
- roughly a 30% reduction in capital costs
- license management is tied to the amount of data protected vs cpu socket counts which is a better explanation for management buy-in
- Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365
