Overall Satisfaction with CommVault

We have been using CommVault for the last five years in my organization. CommVault is deployed on all data protection tasks from user endpoints to all server computing. Having one solution for all data protection with Commvault helped us in making IT life simpler by creating one console for infrastructure, monitoring, management, and compliance.
  • Reporting for all kind of analysis.
  • Flexibility with almost any infrastructure.
  • Support of the product.
  • Java console needs an upgrade.
  • Trained engineers availability.
  • Great impact on the RTO & RPO.
  • Multiple copies of the data to improve the data protection posture confidence.
I am not familiar with other products, but it looks like it may be worth looking at other products now because integrations with HCI infrastructure are not up to some of the available products on the market. My expectations are met at the moment but I am not sure about the product road map and future HCI requirements.
CommVault is most suited for server-side backup since mostly all types of solutions are protected. I think this is the most favorite area of Commvault and I can see lots of innovations around this. But user endpoint protection needs more improvement, specifically on the connectivity of the roaming endpoints and client registration and management also need to improve.
