Overall Satisfaction with Couchbase
We're using couchbase to gather Infra health, stats for near real time analytics, to make decisions to scale out or up the Infra.
We have more than 40K servers in our Infra, both virtual and physical. We've historically had slow processes, to reading performance statistics from each of them and analyzing them. Before we could react to a need for server upscale, an incident would have happened. This is where we tried other solutions and are currently using Couchbase. We are able to load vast amount of data every second and come up with near real time decisions.
- Key-value storage.
- N1QL is easy, comprehensive and fast.
- Scalable across datacenters.
- Integration with Elasticsearch.
- Inconsistent memory, CPU consumption pattern.
- Still evaluating and optimizing our deployment.
- We're still using Community EDN.
- Cloudera Distribution Hadoop (CDH) and Elasticsearch
A strategic company, upcoming products, enhanced concepts. Couchbase is a single platform offering many different smaller products together viz Full-Text Search, Analytics, Eventing, Indexing, Querying, Integration with other products.
I also look forward to knowing more about Couchbase Cloud and how cost effective, performance intensive it could be to load all TB of data in the cloud.
