Overall Satisfaction with Dashlane Password Manager
In our company we have several different teams that often share credentials between themselves. Dashlane helps facilitate this by allowing us to set up groups in the software which passwords are then shared to. Dashlane also helps us enforce security standards for password management by requiring users to use passwords that meet certain levels of criteria. It also speeds up general user experiences by retaining passwords for users.
Pros
- Retains and organizes passwords.
- Creation and management of groups and password sharing.
- Dark web monitoring of credentials.
Cons
- The software will often mix up some of the passwords we use on sites that have similar addresses.
- Some users have complained that the interface is confusing.
- We build web forms within a web-based application. The software does not do a good job of ignoring fields on those forms and tries to auto-populate information into them while we are building them.
- Quicker and easier onboarding through group sharing of credentials.
- Better security policy enforcement.
- Better risk assessment and management when it comes to online credentials.
We have not used other products like this (other than Chrome's built-in password management which is not a full paid product).
